For our client, AG Real Estate, we are looking for a (Senior) Legal Advisor. Fluent in Dutch or French, with good command of the other language and English.
Within the Legal & Tax department, you will be part of a young, dynamic and versatile team, where you will be able to plan, prioritise and organise your work. As a (Senior) Legal Advisor, you will be responsible for drafting, assessing (risk analysis), monitoring and/or negotiating various contracts for the different business lines (retail, offices, logistics, nursing homes, public infrastructure). This applies to both investments and development projects (offices, residential, public infrastructure including public procurement and PPP), in which particular attention is paid to ESG aspects.
With your commercial flair, you provide pragmatic solutions without overlooking the legal aspects. This includes:
- Preparing, assessing, evaluating (risk analysis) and negotiating agreements with contractors and architects, purchase, sale and option contracts, all types of real estate contracts (such as leases, commercial leases), precarious occupancy contracts, usufruct contracts...) and related deeds (such as easements, basic deeds, volumes...)
- Preparing opinions on real estate/property law, civil law and administrative law (in particular environmental and/or planning permits, soil, securities, public procurement, construction...)
- Litigation monitoring (drafting out-of-court settlements or coordinating with lawyers during legal proceedings)
- Studying and monitoring legal developments and case law in the above-mentioned areas in collaboration with your colleagues
- Preparing models and standard contracts in the above-mentioned areas in collaboration with your colleagues
- You hold a Master’s degree in law
- You have 5 to 10 years' experience in real estate law in a property company, contractor, construction company or law firm. Experience in administrative law (particularly PPP projects) is a plus
- You are curious, rigorous (detail-oriented) and pragmatic
- You are proactive and have a sense of initiative
- You are an excellent communicator (both written and spoken)
- You are flexible and stress-resistant
- You are service-oriented and enjoy working in a team, but are also able to function independently
- You are fluent in Dutch or French and have a good knowledge of the other national language and English
