Van Bael & Bellis opens London office

We are delighted to announce that Van Bael & Bellis has opened its London office today after receiving regulatory approval from the Solicitors Regulation Authority of England and Wales.

Our new office is located in the heart of London’s legal district at 5 Chancery Lane and will be led by a team of expert EU and UK lawyers, including managing partner Philippe De Baere, senior partner David Hull, and partner Alex Stratakis.

Our London office works in conjunction with Van Bael & Bellis’ head office in Brussels and will focus on international trade and customs law, UK and EU competition law, public international law and investment treaty arbitration.

Our presence in London comes at a time of increasing protectionism and more interconnected regulation involving trade, investment and competition issues. With Brexit, many businesses will be considering the implications of the UK exiting the EU and how they might mitigate any potential negative effects.

Our exceptional reputation in the areas of international trade and competition law will enable us to bring a wealth of experience to the UK market from across our key practices and offer our clients a combination of experience in EU law, WTO law and public international law that is rare among UK and Brussels-based law firms.
