& DE BANDT is pleased to announce the arrival of ICT and data protection lawyer Karel Janssens.
Karel advises companies on privacy and data protection legislation, and has been closely monitoring the comprehensive reform of EU data protection rules. He also has a particular focus on all Internet-related issues such as e-commerce, direct marketing, and ISP liability for third-party IP infringements. He advises companies on the telecom regulatory framework and assists them in setting up and operating their businesses in Belgium and the EU. In addition, his work for media companies and involvement in complex regulatory proceedings relating to the Belgian cable TV market has provided him with an extensive knowledge of media legislation. To complement his ICT practice, Karel has developed a particular understanding of consumer protection law and unfair commercial practices.
With Karel’s arrival, & DE BANDT expands its IP, IT and data protection practices and responds to the numerous legislative changes in these fields.
