Curia appoints Philip Daenen as Partner

Curia has promoted Philip Daenen to the partnership. Philip will now lead the corporate & commercial team together with Bart Windey. His practice is mainly transactional and he has extensive experience in (private) M&A and private equity transactions.

Philip graduated from Leuven University (2004) and spent a year of his law studies at the University of Paris (Panthéon-Sorbonne). He holds a Master of tax law (Univerity of Brussels (ULB), 2005), an LL.M. (University of Pennsylvania Law School, 2009) and a Business and Law Certificate (Wharton, 2009). Philip is also a B.A.E.F. Honorary Fellow.

He started his career at the Brussels bar (2005) with the firm Liedekerke and subsequently Baker & McKenzie. In 2013 Philip joined Curia and has been promoted to partner in 2015.

From 2006 to 2011, Philip was affiliated with the Institute of Commercial and Insurance Law of Leuven University, chaired by Professor Herman Cousy.
