Loyens & Loeff Belgium strengthens its Banking & Finance practice with the appointment of Vanessa Marquette as new partner

Vanessa Marquette has joined Loyens & Loeff in Belgium since 2 March 2020 as new partner. She is appointed as third partner of the Banking & Finance practice group of the Brussels office, next to Marc Vermylen and Koen Panis, where she will further develop our Financial Regulatory footprint in Belgium.

Vanessa is recognized for her expertise in Banking & Finance with a focus on international finance law, regulated financial services, banking litigation and sustainable finance.

She assists regulated entities such as financial institutions, payment services providers, funds, insurance companies, listed companies as well as non-regulated entities on all financial regulatory matters and compliance. She accompanies clients in the evolving environment of sustainable finance. She has a wide experience in the drafting, negotiation and enforcement of all type of security interests with specific expertise in cross-border issues. She handles M&A transactions in the banking and insurance areas as well M&A involving public entities.

Vanessa is also member of Women on Board, a Belgian non-profit association dedicated to create a network of promoting talented women to directorship roles within Belgian enterprises.
