Eubelius appoints two new partners and one counsel

Eubelius is particularly pleased to announce the appointment of two new partners and one counsel. Bart Martel and Pieter Callens have been promoted to the position of partner and Joris De Wolf is appointed counsel with effect from 1 January 2020. All three of them started their careers at Eubelius. Our firm now has 22 partners and 17 counsels.

Bart Martel practises public and administrative law, with special expertise in constitutional and environmental law. He started at Eubelius in 2005. He was involved as an expert in the Implementation Committee for Institutional Reform, which was responsible for the implementation of the Sixth State Reform.

Pieter Callens’ practice focuses on intellectual property and information technology. He started at Eubelius in 2004. As a member of the Belgian Board for Intellectual Property, he advises the Government in the preparation of new legislation. Pieter is (co-)author of several publications including the books “The Unitary Patent and the Unified Patent Court” and “Octrooien in België”. He also has extensive expertise of advising in IT related disputes and resolutions.

Joris De Wolf focuses on corporate and financial law, specialising in public acquisitions and listed company obligations. He joined Eubelius in 2010. Last year he assisted Gilead in its ground-breaking R&D collaboration with Galapagos.

These internal promotions will further reinforce the support Eubelius provides to its clients at the highest level.
