Van Olmen & Wynant welcomes a new partner

Van Olmen & Wynant is delighted to announce that Koen Hoornaert joins the firm as Partner. He will, under the leadership of Luc Wynant, help further develop the corporate law practice group.

Koen Hoornaert has a broad experience in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions. He advises family businesses, investment funds and multinationals on all aspects of corporate law, with a special knowledge in the field of mergers and acquisitions and reorganizations. He assists the company itself, as well as the shareholders or directors. 

His experience fits in seamlessly with the niche corporate practice of Van Olmen & Wynant, that in the Belgian landscape earned its stripes in terms of complex corporate transactions, investment funds and MBO’s.

Before joining Van Olmen & Wynant, Koen was active as a lawyer in the corporate practice of one of the largest international law firms, where he advised a wide range of companies and investment funds. Koen has a law degree from Ghent University and obtained an LL.M. in International Business and Economic Law at Georgetown University Law Center, Washington D.C as Fellow of the Belgian American Educational Foundation (B.A.E.F.) and Francqui Foundation. Koen is a member of the Brussels bar and New York State bar. Koen is also affiliated with the Institute for Commercial and Insolvency Law at the KU Leuven.
