The Belgian professional organization of corporate lawyers IBJ – IJE (Instituut voor bedrijfsjuristen - Institut des juristes d’entreprise) has a new President. Marc Beyens, General Counsel Energy Belux at ENGIE-Electrabel is the successor of Saskia Mermans, General Counsel at KBC Group.
On November 10, 2018 the new members of the Board of the IBJ-IJE were elected for a term of 3 years.
This Board elected Marc Beyens as new President.
Marc Beyens has been already active for more than 30 years as corporate lawyer in the energy sector. During the previous term he assumed also the position of Treasurer within the Executive Committee (ExCo) of the Board. Moreover he has been coordinating since 2 years the Day of the Corporate Lawyer which zoomed in each time on topics that impact the daily work of the corporate lawyers.
