The global law firm Allen & Overy announced the promotion of 20 new partners in 11 offices. In Belgium this meant good news for Frederiek Adams, who will be promoted to partner in the Corporate practice on the 1st of May. Frederiek has a strong focus on private equity clients and worked on several high profile Belgian matters including the Balta IPO and the sale of Umicore’s VMZINC division last year.
Frederiek Adams joined A&O’s Belgian corporate team immediately after his studies in 2006 and spent 6 months on secondment in the New York office in 2010. Frederiek advises on general corporate law and international and domestic mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures and equity capital market transactions. He is particularly specialised in private equity having represented a substantial number of both local and international PE houses on sell- and buy-side transactions. His experience also extends to advising large international corporates and some of Belgium’s largest companies on their M&A transactions in a broad range of sectors. He now becomes a corporate partner in the Brussels office.
