Vincent Macq appointed Brussels managing partner at Freshfields

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP has appointed Vincent Macq as managing partner for its Brussels office. Vincent Macq has been a partner at Freshfields for the last 14 years and is heading the corporate practice group in Brussels. 

Specialised in M&A and capital markets transactions, he advises Belgian and international corporate clients across a number of sectors, as well as financial investors on public takeovers, private acquisitions, private equity, privatisations and joint ventures, in Belgium and abroad. 

Over the years, he has developed a strong relationship with his clients, who come to him for boardroom advice and assistance in large strategic projects. His negotiation skills and expertise in leading and co-ordinating complex deals are second to none. He works hand in hand with the finance, competition and tax teams in Brussels. He is described by sources as “an outstanding and very strong M&A lawyer” and is said to be “praised for what he has achieved in the corporate market recently”.
