Partner appointment at Cresco

Cresco is thrilled to announce that Steven Daems will join the partnership, effective as of 2022.

The partner appointment significantly strengthens the firm’s Dispute Resolution Group. Steven has been with the firm since its inception and is an experienced litigator with a focus on corporate litigation, commercial disputes and insolvency procedures.

His additional expertise as a corporate transactionalist allows him to provide clients with a 360° guidance in all disputes pertaining to the corporate lifecycle, ranging from incorporation and corporate structuring over to contracting, (internal) compliance and operational legal support, all the way through to restructuring, liquidation and bankruptcy.

Steven’s assistance ranges from pre-litigation guidance, settlement negotiations to assistance during shareholders’ and board of directors’ meetings as well as representation in front of Belgian courts and arbitral tribunals.

We are honored to welcome Steven to the partner team and for him to take a leading role within the firm and Cresco’s growing dispute resolution team, and we are certain that he will continue to serve as trusted counsel to our clients.

Olivier Van Raemdonck, Partner, adds: “From the inception of Cresco we have been committed to offer our clients dispute resolution capabilities, alongside our transactional and operational legal expertise, and are very pleased for Steven to lead and grow the dispute resolution practice.”
