Bridgestone is looking for an Ethics & Compliance Manager, who will be part of the Global Ethics & Compliance Team, with a primary focus on EMIA.
You will be based in Brussels and report to the Head of Ethics & Compliance EMIA, who is based in Rome, Italy. You will also work closely with other members of the Global Ethics & Compliance Team outside EMIA, as well as with the EMIA legal team, present in 12 different countries throughout the region, who act as regional and business unit compliance resources.
You will support and bolster the design, implementation and effectiveness of the Ethics & Compliance program laid out at Global and EMIA levels. Your role and responsibilities may vary, but will certainly include:
- Support the effective implementation, enhancement and day-to-day operation of Bridgestone’s Ethics & Compliance Program with a view to boost the compliance culture in the organization, by providing advice, interpretation and training to the teammates on compliance issues;
- Under the supervision of the Head of Ethics & Compliance EMIA, develop, maintain and revise policies and procedures on several aspects of Bridgestone’s Ethics & Compliance Program (e.g. on Gifts & Entertainment, Anti-Bribery, Competition Law, Conflicts of Interest, etc.), as well as accompanying training materials;
- Under the supervision of the Head of Ethics & Compliance EMIA, develop and enhance an effective Ethics & Compliance communication & training program for Bridgestone’s business, including engaging leaders and promoting understanding of compliance issues and related policies and procedures throughout the organization;
- Support the identification and tracking, in conjunction with the business and regional support lawyers, of potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, and develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues;
- Help ensure that reported concerns are promptly and thoroughly investigated. You will play a leading role in the administration of Bridgestone’s Ethics & Compliance line, and improvements thereto, as well as in the strengthening of the compliance investigations’ training program.
Ethics & compliance are key elements of Bridgestone’s agenda to create truly global departments spanning all territories and business units across the globe: you will have an important role to play in shaping these efforts. This further creates opportunities for personal deployment and growth.
