You will be responsible for the firm’s knowledge management and human resources. This includes:
managing, optimizing and developing the knowledge management resources and keeping the existing precedents’ database up-to-date;
managing, drafting and updating contract models, document templates and roadmaps;
keeping up to speed with new legislation and case law in specific legal areas (company law, banking law, contract law and tax law) and informing your colleagues thereof, including by way of presentations and memo’s;
promoting and organizing knowledge sharing, amongst other by organizing weekly presentations by and for your colleagues, designing new knowledge distribution practices and encouraging their use;
reviewing and analyzing job and trainee applications, managing and coordinating all job interviews and ensuring the firm’s presence at all relevant job fairs and offering assistance regarding appraisals; and
assisting in the management of the firm’s marketing policy.
You have at least 5 years of relevant experience as a Belgium-qualified lawyer, of which at least one year in either an international law firm, a Belgian business law firm or a professional services firm with a specialization in corporate, financial or tax law. You have strong drafting skills and are fluent in English and Dutch and have a good knowledge of French.
You want to play the pivotal role in managing, developing and sharing knowledge in order to make efficient use of the firm’s accumulated experience. You are outgoing and want to take up a central role in all HR related matters of the firm.
