Deloitte Legal Lawyers comprises approximately 140 qualified lawyers, based in Brussels, Antwerp and Ghent. We offer expert advice and representation in the fields of corporate/M&A, banking & finance, EU law, real estate, tax, employment, commercial law, dispute resolution, IT/IP, public/administrative law and insolvency and reorganisations.

Our clients range from multinational companies, national large and medium-sized enterprises, financial institutions and government bodies, to high-net-worth families and individuals.

We are currently looking for a Paralegal with relevant experience in the field of Commercial Litigation based in our Ghent and Zaventem office.

• You will be part of the Commercial & Dispute Resolution team, where you will provide assistance and accurate legal support to a team of lawyers on the realm of Commercial Litigation;
• You will have contacts with courts, notaries, administrations;
• You will draft templates such as standard letters, legal briefs;
• You will provide assistance with setting-up presentations
• You will compile exhibits in court cases;
• You will also retrieve administrative documents via several applications (i.e. national registry);
• Furthermore, you’ll deposit documents via several applications of the bar (DPA, e-Deposit);
• You will file documents and managing archive and partake in legal research.

•  you have obtained a bachelor degree in law or in legal practice (“Rechtspraktijk”);
• you have excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English (French being a plus);
• you are a highly organized, detail-oriented and rigorous person;
• you deal positively with tight deadlines;
• you have a can do attitude and see solutions rather than problems;
• you will be part of a large structure, so being autonomous and finding your way is important;
• you have well-developed PowerPoint skills and an eye for clear and structured presentations;
• you are capable of handling confidential information in a discreet manner and you maintain the highest ethical standards
