Our client is a European financial group. Its business focuses on retail banking and commercial financial services to the public sector, financial markets, asset management, private banking, fund administration, insurance, non-profit organizations and others.

For their Legal Services Department - Treasury and Financial Markets Team, based in Brussels, they are currently looking for a (m / f) Expert Legal Counsel.

Functie :

• Responsible within the Legal Services Department, for providing legal advice and legal support to the trading room;
• Negotiating framework agreements for all types of transactions in the trading room (Type ISDA GMSLA, GMRA, ...);
• Give operational advice to the trading room regarding their daily execution and settlement operations (clearing, settlement, custody) and for the realization of their projects;
• Give legal advice on structured investment products and different types of alternative financing, both for the bank and its customers;
• Study and monitor the latest legal developments and share the relevant information with your internal customers. In this regard, you participate to internal and external workgroups;
• With a proactive approach to business, you are able to contain legal risks in combining economic management with customer satisfaction.
 

Gezocht profiel :

• Master's degree in Law, with a particular interest in financial and economic activities as well as financial markets;
• At least 3 years experience in a law firm and/or in the field of Capital Markets/Financial Instruments;
• You are bilingual (French/Dutch), and you speak fluent English;
• Eager to learn and not afraid of a challenge;
• Committed and pragmatic;
• Flexible and stress resistant;
• Excellent negotiating skills;
• You can work independently yet show team spirit.
