BASF NV in Antwerp is looking for a Legal Counsel (M/F).
 

Functie :

You provide and/or procure incisive legal advice both domestically and internationally on all legal matters of corporate significance involving the Antwerp production site, the Belgian BASF group companies and the BASF group.

You advise and influence to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and act as a principal interface with regulatory and supervisory authorities in all relevant jurisdictions and with the help of the appropriate external expertise.

The focus will be on commercial law, construction law (lump sum turnkey contracts), energy and environmental law and sometimes on restructuring processes such as joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures.

You will supervise legal procedures and keep contact with lawyers and other relations so that the company is always defended in the best possible way (litigation management).

Gezocht profiel :

You hold a Master degree in Law from a Belgian university and obtained excellent academic results. You have an experience of minimum 3 years as a lawyer or in-house counsel.
You are Dutch-speaking with an excellent command of English, both written and spoken, and have a good knowledge of French.

You have an outgoing, open and persuasive personality and an analytical mind. You have a sound business acumen and mindset and are able to think strategically. You are pro-active, well-organized and flexible. You are able to work both independently and in a team.
