For its site in Bruges, Bombardier Transportation is looking for an experienced and motivated legal counsel.
 

Functie :

You will be the solo legal counsel at the site of Bruges, responsible for all legal matters. You will report to the Director Legal Affairs of the Business Unit Passengers, located in Crespin (France).

You will work both in Bruges and in Crespin. In Crespin, you will be part of a legal team of 10 legal counsels and contract managers, which is again part of an International team of around 40 legal counsels located in Europe, Asia and Australia.

As a legal counsel you will negotiate a wide variety of public bids and private contracts, such as customer and supply contracts, R&D and license agreements, procurement contracts and consortium agreements. You will also advise on legal matters related to these bids and contracts: letters of credits, bonds, parent company guarantees and IPR matters.

Your main responsibilities will be to assess, monitor and mitigate commercial contractual risks of bids and to follow up the execution of projects. You will advise on the legal framework of tenders and negotiate public tenders.

You will be responsible for all legal affairs regarding the site and the regional legal entities. You will follow up with real estate files, fixed assets, lease agreements, environmental matters, insurance issues, corporate secretary matters etc.

You will work closely together with people of Engineering, Sales, Finance, Project Management as well as with our suppliers and partners.
 

Gezocht profiel :

You hold a Belgian Degree in Law.

You have between 3 and 5 years of experience in contract law in an international environment, either in-house or in a law firm. A former experience in public procurement law or a in an industrial environment is an asset.

You have excellent knowledge of Dutch, French and English and are capable of negotiating and drafting contracts in all three languages.

You have the ability to quickly comprehend complex and technical issues and to translate the legal issues in a comprehensible manner to non legal people.

You like to take initiatives; have an open mind and strong communication skills.

You are business minded.

You like to work in an industrial and dynamic environment.

You are a strong team player and are flexible (willing to work both in Bruges and Crespin).
