Contracts Administrator

Our Client is a wholesale distributor of technology products and supply chain management services. They provide the distribution of technology products and services, marketing development and supply chain management services to more than 170.000 technology solution providers and 1.700 manufacturers. The company sells to more than 73.000 active customers, has 730 vendor partners in Europe and distributes more then 280.000 products.

For their offices based in Vilvoorde, our client is looking to recruit a (m/f) Contracts Administrator on a temporary basis from November 2010 to June 2011.

Fonction :

The overall purpose of the position is to assist the Legal Director in connection with the review, negotiation, and drafting of contracts with its suppliers. The responsibility includes:

  • Provide timely and precise legal advice on all contractual issues during contract negotiations in accordance with the company’s practices
  • Assist business counsel and business managers in the review and negotiation of contracts under the established policies and procedures
  • Structure and draft appropriate contract terms and proposal responses that clearly represent the intentions and agreement of the parties
  • Administer contracts in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Ensure maintenance and accurate input of data to the contract records database including the preparation of contract summaries
  • Inform business managers on contract details enabling the company to meet milestones and ensure renewals and new agreements
  • Summarizing contracts in contract database and creating regular reports.


Profil recherché :

  •  Degree in law or comparable legal education obtained in an EU jurisdiction;
  • Junior Lawyer or Paralegal;
  • 2/3 years of experience in the IT, distribution or related business, in a European Law Firm or in an in-house legal department of a multinational company;
  • Fluent in English, German is secondary. Any other European languages (French, Spanish, Italian) will be an asset;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;
  • Mature enough to work independently;
  • Good verbal/written communication, negotiation and persuasion skills;
  • Ability to work with various levels of management across business units and achieve results;
  • Excellent contract drafting skills.
