For the office in Brussels, our client is looking for an underwriter to reinforce the financial lines department.
 

Fonction :

Within the financial lines department, you will function as an underwriter in the Financial Institutions team and report to the Financial Institutions team leader.

You will be responsible for relationship building with brokers and sometimes clients.

You will function as product champion for one of the Financial Institutions products.

As an underwriter, you will assess, analyse and underwrite important Financial Lines risks.

You will negotiate, draft and review insurance policies with brokers and sometimes clients.

You will follow up on renewals and required changes, adapt policy limits and insured values in accordance with the underwriting guidelines, follow up on claims, insert new countries, etc.

You will assist in developing new products and new targets.
 

Profil recherché :

You have a Belgian Master degree in Law.

You have 2 to 4 years of experience in a law firm, a consultancy firm or a multinational company in insurance law, financial law, commercial law, corporate law, tax law or general law matters. Experience in a banking environment is a plus.

You are figure minded, accurate and you enjoy working in a rather technical environment.

You are dynamic, motivated, no nonsense, hands on and flexible. You have a can do attitude.

You can work autonomously and are a team player at the same time.

You are stress resistant, you like to work in a challenging and demanding environment and you have excellent organisation skills.

You are customer service oriented.

You have an excellent knowledge of Dutch. You have working experience in English and have a good knowledge of French.
