On 4 September 2014, the Court of Appeal of Brussels ruled in its judgment that the mere fact that companies from the same group have similar corporate names and conduct business under the same trade name wasn't sufficient enough to constitute a ground for joint liability of the group in the framework of their respective contractual relationships.
