26 INTERNATIONAL LAW FIRMS IN BRUSSELS RUN TOGETHER TO SUPPORT SIMON & ODIL

On May 30, lawyers and staff from international law firms in Brussels will again participate, as a single team, in the annual 20 km run through Brussels to raise money for a good cause.

Now in its sixth edition, this charitable initiative, better known as the "Legal Run", has become a unique tradition within the Brussels legal community. Each participating firm sponsors its own runners and over the past five years, the Legal Run has raised approximately EUR 90,000 for charity.

This year, the Legal Run is supporting Simon & Odil, a remarkable project that aims to improve the quality of life for seriously and/or chronically ill children.

Simon & Odil works to fill the communication gap for chronically ill children by initiating innovative and interactive, yet effective and medically relevant projects aimed at improving their quality of life. The fundamental missions of the project are to break the isolation surrounding chronically ill children, both at home and in hospital, to relieve the worry and fear of both children and parents, and to address the taboos that still surround "serious" diseases such as cancer, aids, cystic fibrosis, burn injuries, etc.

The following 26 law firms have confirmed their participation in this year's event, with some 320 runners: Allen & Overy LLP; Altius; Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP; Clifford Chance LLP; De Wolf & Partners; DLA Piper UK LLP; Eubelius; Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP; Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner LLP; Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP; Hogan Lovells; Howrey LLP; Hunton & Williams; Latham & Watkins LLP; Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick; Loyens & Loeff; Mayer Brown International LLP; Morrison & Foerster LLP; NautaDutilh; Olswang LLP; Sidley Austin LLP; Simont Braun; Steptoe & Johnson LLP; Stibbe; Tiberghien; White & Case LLP and Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP.
