Function

The employment practice assists clients by helping them to fully understand and respect Belgian employment and social security law. The employment law department's clients come from a wide range of industries, including logistics, facility management, banking, IT, retail, media and pharma, etc. As an Associate Employment law you will be among others responsible for the following tasks: 

  • You will give legal advice and draft agreements in individual and collective employment law
  • You will assist clients in negotiation procedures
  • You will represent clients in proceedings in front of employment tribunals and courts
  • You will assist employers in complying with employment regulations (work regulations, social elections, whistleblowing, etc.)
  • You will ensure the follow-up of the relevant national and European legislation relevant for the clients and their cases

Profile

  • You hold a master's degree in law. An LL.M in employment law is a plus
  • You have between 0 and 6 years' experience in employment law and have an interest in HR Tax
  • You are motivated, proactive, disciplined, team player and keen to learn
  • You enjoy getting to the bottom of legal issues and have a good sense of legal analysis and critical thinking. You have an ability to translate legislation into practical terms
  • You are French or Dutch native speaker and have a good command of the other national language. You also have a very good command of English
